Abstract

Através da abordagem do ciclo vital familiar, é possível identificar os arranjos pelos quais os residentes em domicílios da Região Metropolitana da Grande São Paulo sobreviveram no começo dos anos 80, conjuntura marcada pela recessão e início da crise econômica. A partir de dados colhidos pelo DIEESE (Depto. Intersindical de Estatística e Estudos Sócio-Econômicos), e tomando como padrão de renda o Salário Mínimo Necessário construído pelo mesmo DIEESE, a presente análise mostra os arranjos articulados pelos diversos tipos de famílias - em diferentes momentos de seu ciclo de vida - que se revelaram mais, ou menos, favoráveis para situá-las acima ou abaixo de condições de precariedade de vida.
