Abstract

A assim dita crise da universidade vive a polarização entre os que, de um lado, lamentam os novos tempos, interpretados como perda crescente de substância acadêmica, e, de outro lado, os que desejam introduzir na vida universitária processos democratizantes. Trata-se de uma polarização geralmente aguda, pois se passa com rigidez de uma situação de fechamento autoritário típico, para uma de escaramento já talvez populista, rumo a condições ainda não experimentadas e por isso tidas como temerária.
