Nosso objetivo consiste em apresentar notas de reflexão metodológica em torno da questão da relação entre aspectos qualitativos na concepção da pesquisa social e educacional. Tais pesquisas podem ter diversos tipos de objetivos, por exemplo: descrição, avaliação ou (re)construção. O primeiro consiste em descrever uma situação tal como ela é. O segundo consiste em avaliar ou medir o que ocorre em comparação a uma norma, critério ou ideal definido.
