Abstract

Este artigo resulta de Estado da Arte que sistematizou a produção científica em torno do tema da gestão, da autonomia e do funcionamento de órgãos colegiados em escolas da educação básica, entre 2000 e 2008. O levantamento, contendo 753 fontes documentais, foi realizado com base no banco de teses da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, em artigos de periódicos da área de ciências humanas e sociais e em anais de eventos. Após a sistematização das fontes em banco de dados, estas foram agrupadas em quatro categorias centrais. Neste texto, discutem-se os dados quantitativos provenientes dos três tipos de fontes e os focos de interesse das investigações. Procura-se identificar os desenhos metodológicos e os referenciais teóricos adotados por estudiosos de políticas educacionais quando focalizam o tema da gestão escolar.
