Este texto discute a contribuição da noção de família patriarcal, a partir da forma como Gilberto Freyre a construiu, para pensar a questão da moralidade familiar entre pobres urbanos. Dialogando com a produção recente sobre a família (e embora estudos empíricos refutem a prática deste tipo de organização familiar nas camadas de baixa renda), argumenta com a atualidade e operacionalidade da noção de família patriarcal como modelo ideológico na análise das relações internas à família.Downloads
